Dear Mr Tye and Kathy,

Nothing in life is ever meant to be easy. It is no walk in the park. Completing VCE, the culmination of thirteen years of schooling, is no exception.

I was certainly overjoyed, overwhelmed and in total disbelief upon receiving my ENTER of 99.95 – thanks in no small part to study scores of 50 in English and 48 in English Language.

No doubt I owe such a delightful result to the efforts and continual support of many others – family and friends, teachers and mentors alike.

It goes without saying then that I would like to extend my sincere expression of gratitude to you, Mr Tye, and your fellow colleagues for all that you have done across the last couple of years.

Indeed it has been an honour and a privilege to be a pupil to a teacher as knowledgeable, passionate and enthusiastic as you – especially as far as the mastery of the English tongue is concerned.

Your calculated wisdom, insight and advice certainly encouraged me to pursue a VCE course of English and English Language, thereby forming a complementary, thorough and rounded understanding of both, this reflected through pleasing results.

Undoubtedly, Tye & English, a renowned and reputable institution, has decidedly met and exceeded all my needs and expectations.

Further I must profess that I have found the individually targeted and tailored educational approach at Tye & English to be particularly effective.

Quite often, school and extracurricular commitments necessitated my absence. However, such hiatuses were smoothed out in a most commendable fashion by the program structure which was accommodating and flexible at all times.

Overall I found the unparalleled assistance and support extended by Tye & English to capture the essence of the ‘lingua franca’ – proving that indeed “the pen is mightier than the sword”.

Once again, thank you very much for your key role in this success. Wishing you a Merry Christmas, thoroughly enjoyable holidays and a Prosperous New Year!

Yours sincerely,

Eric Leung
